King Charles III got a kiss from a random woman among the crowd during his first day as United Kingdom’s King. He arrived in London along with his wife, Camilla on Friday following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Who Kissed King Charles III?

King Charles III was kissed by a random woman at Buckingham Palace. Well, after hearing this, the same question pops up in everyone’s mind. Who was that woman? Why she kissed King Charles?

The woman who kissed King Charles III while he was shaking hands and talking with the crows at the Palace was Jenny Assiminios. Everyone was praising him and telling him to be strong while Jenny was quite forward and offered him a kiss.

King Charles III arrived in London on Friday just after the death of his beloved mother. As we know, she died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

Furthermore, King Charles was before Prince Charles but the rule of the royal family is to pass the throne to the upcoming generation. Therefore, Prince Charles became King after Queen Elizabeth’s death.

However, people are expecting the same thing from the King which Queen Elizabeth II gave to all the people of the UK.

Just after showing his appearance at Buckingham Palace, King greeted each and every member of the crowd who gathered there to give respect to their new King.

Following this, Charles shook hands with the people and thanked everyone who gave him support for his monarch. Meanwhile, Jenny kissed her in his approval and also stated in an interview with CNN,

“I have seen him in front of me. I couldn’t believe it and I said to him, ‘May I kiss you?’ He said ‘Well, yes,’ so I grabbed him and I was very happy.”

Further, she also added,

“Thank you, God, for letting me see him and kiss him.”

On the other hand, Jenny Assiminious said to everyone that she is a huge fan of the Royal family. She stated that she has been watching them all till now. She is permanently from Cyprus and further, she continued,

“I love the Royal Family. Always I am watching them, buying souvenirs from [when] they are small babies to growing up.”

However, Jenny also said that King Charles looked sad and was carrying a dull face. So she couldn’t see him and she asked permission for a kiss on the cheek as a gesture. Also, Assiminious explained,

“He looked sad. I said, ‘sorry for your loss.'”

Moreover, she also added that her late husband was also a great fan of the Royal family and also a friend of King Charles’ father, Prince Philip. Prince Philip died at the age of 99 on April 9, 2021. And, talking about her husband, Jenny said,

“My late husband was from Greece and Prince Phillip was from Greece.”

While saying this, Jenny also stated that the people are liking Charles as a King and are hoping for a lot from him. Despite the death of Queen Elizabeth II, at least people are happy that Charles became king as he is a good man. Assimionous also said,

“He’s lovely. He’s perfect. I’m always liking him.”

Apart from this King Charles also gave tribute to his late mother saying,

“I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow. Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen – my beloved Mother – was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding, and example.”

With eyes full  of tears, King Charles III also expressed,

“In 1947, on her 21st birthday, she pledged in a broadcast from Cape Town to the Commonwealth to devote her life, whether it be short or long, to the service of her people. That was more than a promise: it was a profound personal commitment that defined her whole life. She made sacrifices for duty.”

Lastly, he said,

“Her dedication and devotion as Sovereign never wavered, through times of change and progress, through times of joy and celebration, and through times of sadness and loss.”
