Career in College

In his first year at Villanova, Lowry was chosen for the Big East All-Rookie team.

He received honors from the First Team All-Big 5 and the Second Team All-Big East. He scored 11.0 points, grabbed 4.3 rebounds, had 3.7 assists, and had 2.3 steals a game in 31 of 33.

Grizzlies of Memphis

With the 24th overall choice in the 2006 NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies selected Kyle Lowry.

He shattered his wrist while competing against the Cleveland Cavaliers, suffering a season-ending injury.

In a three-team deal involving the Houston Rockets, Memphis Grizzlies, and Orlando Magic, Lowry was traded to Houston in February 2009.

Raptors of Toronto

Kyle Lowry was moved to the Toronto Raptors in July 2012 as part of a trade for Gary Forbes and a future first-round pick.

He recorded his eighth triple-double of his professional career against the New York Knicks with 22 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds.

Lowry had a 26-point, 7 rebounds, and 10 assist performances in game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

The Toronto Raptors were able to upset the Golden State Warriors and earn the team’s first NBA championship thanks to his contribution.

Lowry recorded his 4,000th assist with the Raptors, joining colleagues Damian Lillard and Stephen Curry in reaching that milestone with their current teams.

Lowry achieved 10,000 points while playing for the Toronto Raptors, joining Chris Bosh and DeMar DeRozan who had already accomplished that feat with the group.

Florida Heat

Kyle Lowry was acquired by the Miami Heat from the Toronto Raptors in August 2021. In exchange for Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa, he was acquired through a sign and trade.

Lowry achieved his 19th career triple-double in November 2021—his first while playing for the Miami Heat.
