His mother enrolled him in the group known as The Rock as an extracurricular activity.

Larry was a natural basketball player who picked up the sport on his own. He then realized his basketball talent and decided to pursue a career in the sport.

Larry participated in basketball while he was a student at Christian Brothers College High School (CBC). He was a major player in his team’s 1997 state championship victory for his school.

Professional Life and Career

Larry had a stellar college career before declaring for the 1998 NBA draft. After the Philadelphia 76ers selected him in the first round, he started his NBA career.

He played for them for two years before joining the Golden State Warriors.

In his prime, he played for the Washington Wizards. During his time with the Wizards, he established a reputation as a dynamic, athletic guard with superior defensive skills.

He briefly played for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Bobcats, and Orlando Magic before calling it quits as an NFL player.

Hughes was selected to join the “Killer 3s,” Ice Cube’s BIG3 League team, in the summer of 2017.
