O’Shea Jackson finally speaks on the controversial “Year of the Nepo Baby” cover story! He claims all was his hard work!
Is it fair that privileged celebrity kids talk about struggling to get a role? It seems impossible right, but O’Shea Jackson says otherwise. The kids of Ice Cube entered the chat with other celebrity children responding to the famous cover story published by the vulture, year of Nepo baby.
Ice cube’s son made his acting career debut playing the part of his famous father in the crime drama known as “Straight Outta Compton. He claims a strong work ethic argument which was claimed by many other celebrity kids.
On Tuesday, the junior cube came across Twitter to announce his father’s dream. Ice cube dreamt of his eldest son playing him in the biopic which was released in 2015. At that time he claims that he was already on the verge of learning screenwriting at USC. He also mentions how he received the green light for the project after all the hard work.

“I accepted the challenge. And auditioned for two years before getting the role,” Jackson Jr. claimed.
“After that, it was up to me, [my father] couldn’t hold my hand through my career. I had to get my ass up and make it work,” he insisted.
Moreover, he says that with the role he chooses and the ethic he puts into them all the professionalism on the sets, he found a team for himself. He accepts that his father opened the door for him and after that, it was in his hand to make it best or worst.

Jckson Jr was handling both sides of the argument well. He was respecting the fact that without his father he might not get the opportunity he landed right now. But he also says that it was his hard work mixed to reach the position.
“For me to ignore that or not accept and use it as a guide would be foolish and disrespectful. I am grateful and I use his teachings daily,” he added.
He also explains how nepotism is happening everywhere in the world, in different fields, not just the industry. Jackson also says that nepotism is the opportunity to build an empire not to hide in the shadow and sit quietly.
“Do not let anyone get it in your head that you should feel bad or your accomplishments are less than what they are,” he encouraged those who also come from “generational talent/wealth.”

Furthermore, he adds to work hard as possible so that even they can leave behind some legacy for their children. Also mentions that everyone is able to give the same sort of access to their children for their success.
“Bust your ass! Do the work! And leave something for your kids to do the same thing!” he added, sharing that his wish is for “everyone in this world to be able to present opportunities for their children to succeed.”
