On June 11, 1997, in Cincinnati, Ohio, under the sign of the Gemini, MaCio Teague was born. He is, after all, Sean and Barbara Teague’s son.

Teague set the school single-game scoring record with 51 points as a senior at the Flyin’ to the Hoop Invitational.
Before his high school career ended, MaCio was named Eastern Cincinnati Conference Player of the Year, District 16 Player of the Year, and Prep Hoop Ohio Division I Player of the Year.
Furthermore, he graduated from high school with an average of 26.4 points and 7.5 rebounds. MaCio eventually enrolled in a postgraduate program at Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida.
Professional Career
MaCio Teague is currently an affiliate player for the NBA G League’s Salt Lake City Stars. He first entered the NBA draft in 2021 and signed his first contract with the Utah Jazz on August 15, 2021.
However, he was released by the Jazz before the season even began in October 2021.

College Career
MaCio Teague, who started at UNC Asheville in 2016, reached the pinnacle of his first year on February 11, 2017. He finished his rookie season after appearing in 33 games and starting 32 of them.
With 509 points as a freshman, Teague became the seventh player in league history to reach 500 points. He averaged 15.4 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
During his sophomore season, MaCio was named First Team All-Big South for the second year in a row. Furthermore, he started 34 games and played in all of them, averaging 16.7 points per game.
Teague also had a career-high 36 points and seven three-pointers before the end of his sophomore season.
Baylor
MaCio Teague redshirted his sophomore year at UNC and transferred to Baylor College, where he initially played on their practice team. He had previously received offers from Louisville, Virginia, and Xavier.
However, he transferred to Baylor on April 30, 2018, and sat out the following season due to NCAA transfer rules. In addition, MaCio made his Baylor debut on November 5, 2019, and had his season-high points on February 8, 2020.
With them, he initially averaged 13.9 points, 1.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game. In a win over Oklahoma State, he had a season-high 24 points and seven rebounds in 37 minutes.
Teague later decided to enter the 2020 NBA Draft but withdrew and returned to Baylor. Teague recently scored 35 points and had ten three-pointers, which tied for the most in program history on March 7, 2021.
