Following Career
In 2016, Mack Horton took part in the Olympics for the first time. He represented Australia at the Summer Olympics when he won gold in the 400-meter freestyle and finished fourth in the 4 x 200-meter freestyle relay.

Injuries
Car Accident
In a single-vehicle collision in 2016, Mack Horton’s Land Rover overturned. He flipped the car he was riding in over the weekend while four-wheeling with his mates after hitting an embankment.
Fortunately, Mack’s other two friends were able to free him from the driver’s seat as the car overturned. The fact that his automobile was halted by a log helped him sustain only minor injuries is also lucky.
