Professional Career
Later on, he signed with the Texas Rangers. Due to injuries, he delayed his starting lineup. Finally, he got the opportunity to play to start over in May 2006. DeRosa scored his career-high 74 points for his team Texas Rangers.
Additionally, DeRosa signed a three-year contract with the Chicago Cubs on 14th November 2006. Although, he played 149 games for the cubs and recorded ten home runs along with 74 RBIs.
The Cubs traded DeRosa to the Cleveland Indians in 2008. He played for the New Jersey native and played as a third base for the Indians for the first time.
After that, Cleveland Indians traded DeRosa to St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Chris Perez and Jess Todd on 27th June 2009.

Suddenly, Mark DeRosa was admitted to a hospital on 23rd February 2008, after he had trouble breathing and a rapid heartbeat.
Later on, he completed the heart procedure to improve his irregular heartbeat. Therefore, DeRosa got his nickname “The Pulse.”
