Early Career
Prior to enrolling at Keller High School, Max Muncy played in the neighborhood clubs under the guidance of his father.

He set a Baylor freshman record with 53 RBI and 11 home runs in his first season.
After being chosen in the MLB, he left the Bears. During his three years at Baylor, Muncy batted.311 with 27 home runs in his career. There, he competed against many future MLB stars.
He was selected for the All-Big 12 Conference in two different seasons as a result of his outstanding performance.
In addition, he gained knowledge of collegiate summer baseball. After his senior year of college, Max signed on with Wareham Gateman of the Cape Cod Baseball League. For two years, he participated in the Cape Cod League.

Oakland Athletics
Muncy was chosen by the Oakland Athletics in the fifth round (169th overall) of the 2012 MLB Draft. He entered into his first professional contract on June 16 with the Oakland Athletics.
He joined the Class-A Midwest League team Burlington Bees later in the month.
Max was assigned to the Stockton Ports of Beloit Snappers prior to the 2013 season’s start. He had the most home runs, runs scored (21), and RBI in the Californian League (76).
Muncy was moved up to the Double-A Texas League’s Midland RockHounds after an impressive start in the Californian League.
