Michael decided to train for the 2020 NCAA basketball recruiting process following high school. Later, he made his debut and participated for one minute against North Carolina (3/6).

Savarino’s first career point was a free throw, which he made while snatching a rebound.

He also contributed to Boston College’s victory over the other teams in the ACC Tournament, which they won 3:9.
