Further, Mike was chosen fourth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, following Greg Oden, Kevin Durant, and Al Horford. Moreover, Mike made his first significant appearance in January 2008.

In addition, Mike set a season-high with 20 points and seven assists in a 134-124 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Moving on, In his rookie season, Mike averaged 9.4 points and 4.2 assists per game.
