With this, he became one of just six boxers in history to win back a heavyweight title they had previously lost: George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Tim Witherspoon, Muhammad Ali, and Floyd Patterson.

He lost the WBA title to Evander Holyfield the same year he had his WBC title stripped from him.

Tyson was disqualified from the 1997 fight for biting Holyfield’s ear so hard that it tore off a piece of flesh.
