Later that year, the team won the “PUBG” Gamescom Invitational Squads category. 635,000 people watched the live video of him playing “Fortnite” alongside Drake, Travis Scott, and Juju Smith-Schuster in March 2018, shattering the previous record for the most viewers ever on a single Twitch channel.

Due to this, Epic Games decided to pair gamers with famous people at E3 2018, and Ninja and his teammate, electronic artist Marshmello, won the “Fortnite Battle Royale” competition. When 667,000 people tuned in to see Blevins stream during Ninja Vegas 2018, he broke his previous Twitch record.

Fortnite Event

For the Red Bull Rise Till Dawn “Fortnite” event in Chicago in 2018, Tyler and Red Bull Esports worked together. He earned nearly $10 million in 2018, says Ninja.

Tyler and his family competed on “Celebrity Family Feud” in 2019, having been in “Family Feud” in 2015. In 2018, he published the album “Ninjawerks: Vol. 1” on the Astralwerks record label, which featured songs from electronic artists. The NFL’s “The 100-Year Game” commercial featured Ninja in 2019, and in August of that same year, he published the book “Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming.”

He performed on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” in 2019 while disguised as an ice cream cone, singing Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Devo’s “Whip It.” When Tyler announced in August 2019 that he had reached a contract with Microsoft to transfer all of his streaming entirely to Mixer, he astounded the gaming community. Ninja was followed by Mixer two months later by another esports legend Shroud.

According to rumors, Facebook offered Ninja and Shroud twice as much money to leave Microsoft and join them. As a result, Microsoft was compelled to activate a buyout clause, which reportedly resulted in the payment of $30 million to Ninja and $10 million to Shroud for their exit. They both re-joined Twitch in August 2020.

In 2022, Blevins and Masterclass collaborated to develop a 30-day course that offers advice on how to become a successful streamer.
