Orlando Arcia | Career

Professional Career

Similarly, Arcia rose to prominence after signing with the Brewers. The Milwaukee Brewers signed the young talent as an international free agent in October 2010.

Despite the lack of information, Arcia must have great junior baseball records for the Brewers to select him.

Nonetheless, Orlando made his professional debut after a year with the Dominican Summer League Brewers in 2011.

However, he did not participate in the 2012 season due to a broken ankle suffered during spring training.

He eventually got back on the field in 2013 and competed for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Class A Midwest League.

The next year, Orlando also participated in games for the Brevard County Manatees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League.

Likewise, Arcia finished the 2015 year playing with the Class AA Southern League’s Biloxi Shuckers. He participated in the All-Star Futures Game that year and blasted eight home runs while hitting.307,347, and.453.

 Career In MLB

Arcia began his new campaign in the same manner as his previous one. He took part in the Class AAA Colorado Springs Sky Sox of the Pacific Coast League. His MLB debut occurred on August 2.

Arcia only appeared in 55 games, but he managed to hit.219/.273/.358 with four home runs and 17 RBIs. He played in 153 games the next year, growing in size.

Arcia had a.277/.324/.407 batting line, 15 home runs, and 14 stolen bases.

Additionally, he homered off Wade Davis in game three of the National League Division Series against the Rockies, extending the Brewers’ advantage and helping them win the 6-0 win series.

When Arcia defeated the Marlins at Miller Park with an 8-0 score, he once more faced an injury. He injured the same ankle in 2012 while playing in the Minor Leagues.

He did not, however, have to sit out the entire season this time.

Nothing had been fractured, and the X-rays came back negative. But the injury-related stories didn’t stop there.

After a competitive face-off with teammate Keston Hiura on a groundball over the middle in July 2019, he suffered a left shoulder injury.

A concussion was nothing to be concerned about, but the doctor advised him to rest for a few days.

The typical statistics for Orlando as of the end of 2019 were. 37 home runs, 159 runs batted in, and 243 in batting. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, practically all players must have underperformed in 2020, not just him.

Additionally, the Brewers platooned Arcia and Luis Uras at shortstop in 2020 after hiring shortstop Luis Uras.

Arcia’s performance in 2020 was limited to 59 games, during which time he hit 260/.317/.416 with 5 home runs and 20 RBI in 173 at-bats.

Joining Atlanta Braves

When Orlando was purchased by the major league Atlanta Braves on April 6, 2021, his baseball career had a significant upswing. He was dealt by the Brewers for Chad Sobotka and Patrick Weigel.

Arcia has previously played for the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers. He was performing well there as well, acting more as a spark, which is why the Braves must have considered hiring him.

The first part of Arcia’s season saw him hit 393/.463/.839 with seven home runs, 17 runs, and 12 RBI. This fantastic start of his is a blatant example of why his supporters are obsessed with him.

Arcia also exhibits several exciting instances, such as a walk-off home run. He also likes to run the bases.

His career stats up to this point are as follows:.244/.293/.364 with a.282 wOBA and a 71 wRC+. and a batting average of 0.2.

Award And Achievment

Baseball America ranked Arcia eighth in 2016 after considering him a top-10 talent. He was regarded as Atlanta’s No. 12 prospect by MLB Pipeline.

The winner of the 2015 Rawlings Gold Glove Award for outstanding defensive performance was announced on September 28, 2015, by Minor League Baseball and Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc.
