Pardeep Narwal is one of the most well-known kabaddi players from India. On February 16, 1997, he was born in Rindhana Village, Sonipat District, Haryana.

Narwal was brought up by Jat Hindus. Haryana’s culture is firmly rooted in the popular sport of Kabaddi. Pardeep shared the same enthusiasm for the game and ambition to play professionally.

His family is a farming one. His parents are Mrs. Birmati Narwal and Mr. Dharmveer Narwal.

He learned how to play Kabaddi from his uncle Ravindra Narwal when he was seven years old. A well-known circle kabaddi player was also his uncle.

He was given the title “Vijender” in recognition of his signature accomplishment.

Pardeep’s father wanted him to focus on his schoolwork, but despite this, he has always had a tremendous passion for Kabaddi. He had his share of challenges as a child, but he never gave up.

When he was eight years old, Narwal played kabaddi for the under-11 team at his school.

Pardeep joined the Haryana Kabaddi Academy at the age of 12, where instructors Manpreet Singh and Naresh Narwal worked.

He eventually started receiving instruction from his coaches, mainly “Dubki,” in the foundations of Kabaddi. Because of his early prowess, he was known as the “dubki king.”

He was too shy to play Kabaddi when he was little, but as he got older, he became one of the Pro Kabaddi League’s most aggressive raiders.

Pardeep Narwal holds a high school diploma. But his passion for Kabaddi kept him from pursuing a college education.

Professional Life and Career

The 5 ft 10 athlete started his career by taking part in local regional contests.

After watching Pardeep compete, Services and Air Force Team head coach Ram Mehar Singh suggested that he enter the nationals.

For the Air Force, he took part in the national competition and won first place.

In the second season of 2015, Pardeep made his Pro Kabaddi League debut as a raider for the Bengaluru Bulls against the Patna Pirates. He gained six features and a total of nine raid points.

With Patna Pirates, the first VIVO Pro Kabaddi championship

However, he did agree to play as a raider for Patna Pirates in VIVO Pro Kabaddi League season 3.

After joining the Patna Pirates, Narwal proved his talent, and the opposition teams were concerned about his faultless “dubki.”

His agility and movements astounded everyone and helped the team succeed. He swiftly advanced to become a top raider in the league.

He got his first Super 10 of his career in Kolkata during the Pirates’ 29-25 victory over Puneri Paltan. Throughout the whole league, 194 raid points were earned, with simply Narwal accounting for 92 of those scores in the team’s 14 games.

Despite being hurt, Narwal scored against Puneri Paltan in the semifinal for his sixth Super 10 season.

To win the VIVO Pro Kabaddi Title, the Patna Pirates defeated U Mumba with a score of 31-28.

After Rohit Kumar joined the Bengaluru Bulls, Pardeep took over as the Patna Pirates’ primary raider.

He showed off his extraordinary talent in 14 league stage games with four Super 10s and 107 raid points. Narwal led the team to a 36-34 triumph over U Mumba in Jaipur with 18 points.

Pardeep maintained his strong play in the playoffs, aiding the team’s victory over Puneri Paltan and advancement to their second consecutive VIVO Pro Kabaddi title.

Another win in a row

Narwal scored 16 points in the finals to help the Pirates upset the Jaipur Pink Panthers 37-29 and win their second VIVO Pro Kabaddi title.

They had won the VIVO Pro Kabaddi title twice in a row. In just 26 games the following season, Narwal showed even more growth, making 19 Super 10.

After eight straight games, the Tamil Thalaivas shattered his Super 10, and the Pirates placed second in Zone B.

In the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, Pirates defeated Haryana Steelers 69-30. The Pirates defeated Puneri Paltan thanks in large part to 19 raid points from Narwal.

As they overcame Bengal Warriors to get to their third straight VIVO Pro Kabbadi final, he scored 23 raid points.

However, Patna Pirates upset Gujarat Fortunegiants by a score of 55-38 to capture their third consecutive title.


The Telugu Titans defeated his team, which had won three successive Super 10. Before losing to the same Titans, he scored three Super 10s in a row against them again.

In VIVO Pro Kabbadi season seven, the Patna Pirates were unable to move to the league stage. Despite having a rough start, Pardeep amassed 1000 points to become the first player in the PKL.

Worldwide Career

Narwal was promoted to the Indian kabaddi team in 2016, and he participated in four matches there. He earned three gold medals while playing kabaddi for the Indian team.
