With 106 points in 116 DEL games as the second new Red Bull in 2017, he was Cologne’s most productive scorer.

After accepting the contract, Hager declared that Munich is among the best venues in Germany to play ice hockey. He proceeded by expressing that he had no regrets about signing the contract and that having the opportunity to return to Bavaria as a Bayer meant a lot to him.

Munich’s head coach, Don Jackson, expressed his happiness at Hager joining the Red Bulls and mentioned how over the course of several seasons Hager had consistently shown his playing prowess.

The German striker had 47 goals in 87 regular seasons prior to being chosen as the Bulls’ captain in 2019.

International Play

As was previously mentioned, he earned his German national team debut as a U17 in 2005.

Hager later participated in the 2010 IIHF World Championship for the German National Men’s Ice Hockey Team.

Between 2005 and the 2019 Winter Olympics, the German ice hockey star played 65 games, recording 13 goals and 17 assists.

At the 2018 IIHF World Championship and Winter Olympics, Patrick Hager also represented Germany.

Patrick helped Germany win a silver medal at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018. After the victory, Hager complimented German efficiency and claimed that his team operated on the ice like a machine.
