Kane played 20 National League games with EHC Biel-Bienne of Switzerland during the 2012-13 NHL lockout.
Kane scored a hat-trick against the Los Angeles Kings for the second consecutive season in the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs.

Fatal Accident
Kane injured his left leg during a game against the St. Louis Blues in March 2014, and he missed the balance of the regular season. He did, however, play in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs and scored 20 points in 19 games.
Patrick Kane played in the 2015 NHL All-Star Game on January 25, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio. Kane also had 64 points in the regular season, although he missed several weeks due to an injury to his left collarbone.

Kane also took part in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. At the competition, the US ice hockey team won silver. In 2014, he competed once again in the Winter Olympics.
Kane served as captain of the United States squad at the 2018 IIHF World Championship. As a result, the US won bronze and Patrick Kane was named MVP of the 2018 World Championship.
