Reggie damaged his left knee’s medial collateral ligament on December 11, 2008. Later that month, the New Orleans Saints announced that Reggie underwent surgery on his left knee and would be out for many months.
Bush missed the final three games of the 2009 preseason due to a calf ailment and to rest his surgically repaired knee.
Bush’s 2010 season was highlighted by the controversy surrounding his Heisman Trophy. He was also in disagreement on various issues concerning his time at USC.
Reggie finished the 2010 season with 150 yards running and 34 catches for 208 yards and a score.
On July 28, 2011, the running back was traded to the Miami Dolphins. He has 1,086 running yards, six rushing touchdowns, 43 catches, 296 receiving yards, and one receiving score in 2011.
