He participated in 370 league games and won four La Liga championships (in 1996–1997, 2000–2001, 2002–2003, and 2006–2007) as well as three UEFA Champions Leagues during his 11 years with the team (in 1996–1997, 1999–2000, and 2001–2021).

Carlos signed a two-year contract with an additional year of options when he joined Fenerbahce on June 19th, 2007.
