On March 14, 1978, Ron Dayne was born in Blacksburg, Virginia to his parents Ron Dayne Sr.
Brenda Dayne. Ron, a star athlete from Wisconsin University, did not begin his career until he entered high school.

At the time he was in elementary school, his parents got divorced. He was consequently sent to live with his relatives.

His mother struggled with drug addiction, and his father was absent for the majority of his childhood. He claims his difficult upbringing caused him to mature more quickly.

Career

Running back Ron Dayne for the New York Giants did more than just play football. At Pine Hill, New Jersey’s Overbrook High School, he excelled in track and field.

Dayne was a discus thrower and the 1995 New Jersey Meet of Champions champion.

In 1996, he broke the record by winning state championships in the discus and shot throw.

College Year

Dayne played running back for all four of his successful years. While in college, he shone like a bright star, but he never made a big deal out of his accomplishments.

For the Wisconsin Badgers, he racked up 1863 yards in his first season, 1421 in his second, 1325 in his third, and 1834 in his final. He finally broke all records against Iowa in the 1999 season finale.

His 6397 total rushing yards during his entire college season propelled him to the top spot in NCAA Division 1 history.

During Wisconsin’s bowl games, Dayne put on some of his best performances. As the only player in Big Ten history to win back-to-back Rose Bowl MVP awards, he established yet another record.

The NFL Career

Dayne, a powerful player, and Tiki Barber, a quick player, made the first season exciting. After that, the Giants went to play in Super Bowl XXXV.

Dayne dedicated his five years to the New York Giants and shed some pounds to improve his versatility on the field.

He signed a deal with the Denver Broncos after leaving the Giants, and his performance against the Dallas Cowboys, which included 98 yards and a touchdown, earned him the CBS Thanksgiving All-Iron Award.

Other Career

Ron pursued a wide range of pursuits after his NFL career. He has several business relationships, including one with Tailgate Clothing, Kollegetown Sports, Wisconsin Athletics, Oak Park Place, and Goldstein & Associates.
