On the 4th of November, 1969, P. Diddy was born in Harlem, New York City as Sean John Combs. When Combs was two years old, his father was shot to death as he was in his car on Central Park West, and Combs was raised in Mount Vernon, New York by his mother.
In 1987, Combs received his diploma from the Mount Saint Michael Academy. He participated in football on a regular basis in high school and even won his division.
He left “Howard University,” where he was majoring in business, in 1989, and began working as an intern for “Uptown Records” in New York. Eventually, he was fired from there.

After being fired from Uptown in 1993, Combs established his own business, Bad Boy Entertainment, as a joint venture with Arista Records.
Young artist Biggie Smalls, widely known as The Notorious B.I.G., was one of the artists Combs brought with him when he left Uptown. The Notorious B.I.G. and Craig Mack both had hit singles published by Bad Boy, and Combs quickly added more musicians like Carl Thomas, Faith Evans, 112, Total, and Father MC.
Later, he established an internal production group called The Hitmen, which collaborated with musicians including Jodeci, Usher, Lil’ Kim, TLC, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Aretha Franklin.
Death Row Records and Bad Boy engaged in a well-publicized feud on the West Coast in the middle of the 1990s. Rapper Tupac Shakur explicitly called Combs and The Notorious B.I.G. names and made fun of them.
In addition to his successful jobs as a record executive and producer, Combs has had a successful solo music career as a recording artist. Combs released his debut rap song with a professional producer in 1997 using the nickname Puff Daddy. The Billboard Hot 100 chart saw the biggest peak for his debut hit, “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down,” which spent 28 weeks at the top.
His debut studio album, “No Way Out,” was made available in July 2017. After The Notorious B.I.G. was assassinated in March of that year, he changed the song’s title from its original intended “Hell up in Harlem.”
The album was a huge success, earning Combs five Grammy nominations in 1998 and the Best Rap Album Grammy. Also, “Forever” (1999), “The Saga Continues…” (2001), and “Press Play” are his most recent albums (2006).
After altering his stage name from “Puff Daddy” to “P Diddy,” Combs notified a second name change to just “Diddy” in 2005. ” in 2001. In November 2005, Richard Dearlove, a musician from London who had performed under the moniker “Diddy” since 1992, requested an injunction against Combs at the High Court of Justice in London. Even though Dearlove accepted an out-of-court settlement for £10,000 in damages and more than £100,000 in fees, Combs is still referred to as “P. Diddy” in the UK.

In addition to his tremendous music career, Combs has had a successful acting career. He has acted in movies like “Draft Day” (2014) and “The Defiant Ones” as well as “Made” (2001), “A Raisin in the Sun” (2008), and “Get Him to the Greek” (2010).
Additionally, while serving as executive producer of the MTV reality series “Making the Band” from 2002 to 2009, he also had a brief run on VH1’s “I Want to Work for Diddy” in 2008.

Combs is a father of six kids. In 1993, fashion designer Misa Hylton-Brim gave birth to his first child. He had sporadic relationships with Kimberly Porter from 1994 through 2007.
