High School & Education

Seth has had a love for basketball since he was in school. He attended Charlotte Christian School for his high school education and graduated in 2008.

For the Knights’ basketball team, Seth started every game for three years. In his senior year, Seth was able to average 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists while shooting 52% from the field.

As the season came to an end, he was honored with first-team “SAA All-American,” all-state, and all-conference accolades.

During his time there, he assisted his team in accumulating many victories, which led to his team “Charlotte Christian” arriving in their final state in 2006.

College Career

In 2008, he received his high school diploma and enrolled at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, in the United States. He was able to score an average of 20.2 points per game as a freshman at Liberty.

All freshmen nationwide had an average that was the highest praiseworthy. He also set a scoring record for a single season in the “Big South Conference” as a freshman.

He later planned to wear the same number 30 jersey that his father and older brother wore during their professional careers.

Seth was forced to withdraw from the 2009–10 basketball season in accordance with the transfer regulations.

In the sport of basketball, sitting out for a year is known as redshirting. Seth Curry received his first opportunity at Duke after his second year when Kyrie Irving injured his toe.

Against “The Miami RedHawks” (Ohio), Curry put on a strong performance, scoring 17 points on 57% of his shots.

Seth, who represented the “University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,” became the top scorer in the 2011 campaign with 22 points against the “North Carolina Tar Heels.”

Professional career

Moving on to his professional career, Seth submitted an application for the 2013 NBA draft. He agreed to a non-guaranteed contract with The Golden State Warriors in August 2013.

And regrettably, on October 25, 2013, he was released from the team after participating in six preseason contests.

He was later hired as a legal player by the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, and he started off his career with 36 points, six assists, and three rebounds.

He collaborated with “The Memphis Grizzlies” in 2013, but this relationship was short-lived. After being released, he rejoined the Santa Cruz Warriors.

In 38 games, he had an average of 19.7 points, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.1 rebounds.

Later, he participated in basketball for the “BayHawks,” leading his team to victory over “The Idaho Stampede” with 23 points. He also participated in a 10-day contract game for the Phoenix Suns against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Curry joined “The New Orleans Pelicans” in July 2015, where he averaged 24.3 points per game. He then earned a spot on the first team of the “All-NBA Summer League.”
