Shakira released a new song that became a hit within a minute after. The lyrics of the song relate to her real life as the song is clearly dedicated to her ex, Gerard Pique.
Shakira and Gerard Pique ended their relationship last year and he is already with another girl named, Clara Chia. Gerard and Shakira share two children, Milan and Sasha and after being together for many years they decided to split.
The news was somewhat shocking for everyone but the decision to separate is of both. Well, Shakira recently released her new song collaborating with Argentine producer Bizarrap. the title of the song is “BZRP Music Session #53” and was released on Thursday. Similarly, the lyrics of the songs are all about Shakira’s ex, Gerard Pique. She also talked about his new girl and called it a bad replacement.
After hearing the song, we can clearly say, Shakira completely roasted her ex. Gerard is a Spanish soccer player. Shakira and Pique first met each other during the 2010 World Cup where she sang the famous theme song, “Waka Waka (This time for Africa)”.
Their relationship was really doing good but in June, the couple announced their separation. After the split, life was very difficult for her and their kids. Also, she announced that her music career was on hold for helping Gerard be successful in Barcelona. Regarding the separation news, they both stated,

Talking about Shakira’s newly released song, song hit and broke the YouTube record by 63 million views within 24 hours of release. This is huge news and seeing this Shakira seemed really happy. The lyrics of the song say,
“Sorry, baby, I should have thrown you out a while ago. I was out of your league and that’s why you’re with someone just like you”
Not only this, but the song also has lyrics,
“Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio. Lots of time at the gym, but your brain needs a little work too”
This is actually an ouch moment for the viewers and of course, Gerard Pique. Shakira also talked about her mother-in-law as the lyrics of the song further state,
“You left me with my mother-in-law as a neighbor, with the press at my door, and in debt with the government. You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger”

In the song, Shakira also mentioned government debt. Furthermore, the main thing about that topic as she is going through problems with Spanish revenue authorities. As the authorities claim that she didn’t pay them $14.5 million in taxes while living in Barcelona between 2012 and 2014.
However, Shakira doesn’t agree with this and denied the allegations. According to her, she was in the Bahamas in between these years instead of Barcelona.

Besides, the new song wins $512,000 from YouTube, $500,000 from Amazon, $360,000 from Spotify, and $ 1.2 million from Apple. The amount will increase day to day though.
It is considered the biggest hit of the year. Shakira on the other hand celebrated her success via a social media platform. On Instagram, she posted a picture with a caption despite being in Spanish but later translated. The caption reads,
