Shawn Mendes, a popular Canadian singer announces on Friday, July 8 that he is canceling his world tour. The reason he gave was he wanted to keep his mental health stable and only travel. In addition, he also said that he needs some rest for doing upcoming shows for his Wonder world tour.
Likewise, he shared a post regarding this topic on his official Instagram account. In the post, he stated that,
“This breaks my heart to have to say this, but unfortunately I’m going to have to postpone the next three weeks of shows through Uncasville, CT until further notice.”
Also, Mendes added his point by saying that he used to face difficulties in staying away from his close ones. Further, he continued,
“I’ve been touring since I was 15 and to be honest it’s always been difficult to be on the road away from friends and family.”
On the other hand, Shawn continued,
After a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately, the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I’ve hit a breaking point.”
