Sheryl Lee Ralph faced an embarrassment and fashion emergency when she showed up at Emmy Awards dressed like someone else!
Sheryl Lee Ralph stunned the red carpet in a black gown with an orange lining at Emmy’s 2022. But then she almost suffered from a severe wardrobe emergency when she appeared to be dressing like someone else. Due to this, someone could have gotten into huge trouble.
The star mentioned that the designer gave the same sketch to her co-star as well. She told the press on the red carpet.
“A designer gave my co-star and me the same sketch for the same gown,”
Ralph’s co-star, Lisa Ann Walter wore the same dress and Ralph discovered that she was wearing the same dress as her on the set. Lisa showed her the picture of the off-shoulder and the same puff-sleeved green gown which she was planning to wear to the awards.
“Up until five days ago I had no gown, I had nothing,” Ralph said. “Brandon Blackwood heard about my plight through Roberto, the stylist, in New York.”
Ralph said that she did not have any dress and it was just five days left for the show. She had nothing to wear till then. Then she explained her problem to Roberto and he shared it with the famous stylist Brandon Blackwood.
Then Brandon stepped up and helped her even though he was in Japan. Later he rendered her dress in the flight and prepared a dress for her.
Brandon is very famous for his work in creating handbags and small accessories. But by helping Ralph with her plight he created his first gown ever. He shared it through an Instagram page as well.

Her stylist Roberto Johnson was very proud of Sheryl and posted love on his Instagram stories saying that he had a happy moment. He wrote on his Instagram that he was proud that he styled an Emmy winner.
“A day after my 15th migrating to the USA anniversary I can say that I’ve styled an Emmy winner!”
He also added that it was his dream come true and he is a live example to face it. It is a perfect example of what believing in the works looks like and also said that never give up on yourself.
“Anyone who has ever, ever had a dream and thought your dream…couldn’t come true. I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like. This is what striving looks like. And don’t you ever, ever give up on you.”
Then he mentioned all the team who was able to help with the iconic moment and dress.

Ralph in the Emmy accessorized her look with a mini bag designed by Brandon and she wore a diamond choker and braid which added the crystals. She later won the title of Best supporting actress in a comedy series.
“To anyone who has ever, ever had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, wouldn’t couldn’t come true, I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like,” she told the audience.
