Skylar Thompson | Early Life, Family, and Education
On June 4, 1997, Skylar Thompson was born in Palmyra, Missouri, in the USA. He is the son of Brad Thompson and Teresa Thompson, who passed away.
Thompson has three siblings and a stepmother named Katherine Burns. He has an older sister, Ashley, a younger brother, Anthony, and an older brother, Eric.
In 2019, Skylar wrote a piece about losing his mother to cancer when he was a young boy and shared it with his followers and supporters.
Teresa received a stage-four breast cancer diagnosis when Skylar was six years old. Despite being informed by the doctors that chemotherapy would not aid in her recovery, his family persisted.
In order to find her the best care, Brad and Teresa traveled across the USA. At the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she underwent chemotherapy.
Sadly, Teresa Lynn Thompson passed away on May 11, 2004, just two days after Mother’s Day. Skylar and his mother had a close bond, which was difficult.
The young Skylar had never felt such agony, especially after losing his grandfather John Walter Thompson on October 23, 2003, to pancreatic cancer.
The loss of two important family members had a profoundly negative effect on his developing mind.
He wasn’t ready for it and struggled to handle it. But as a result of these unfortunate incidents, his bond with his father deepened.
Brad made sure his son was occupied and surrounded by people who would take good care of him.
Skylar also enjoys a good relationship with his stepmother, Katherine, because she supported him and his father when they needed it.
Education
Skylar Thompson attended Independence, Missouri’s Fort Osage High School. With his father, siblings, and stepmother, his family relocated from Palmyra to Kansas City in order to start a new life.
He also convinced his father to allow him to play football in class. It was no surprise that he immediately joined the school football team given that football was his preferred means of escape.
