Steve-O, also known as Stephen Gilchrist Glover, is a well-known YouTuber, stunt performer, and television personality from the United States.

Steve-O| Early Life, Family, and Education

Steve was born on June 13th, 1974 in London, England. His father had American and English ancestry, while his mother was Canadian. During Steve’s childhood, the family had to move around quite a bit due to his father’s successful business career.

Steve-O had already lived in five nations by the time he was 12 years old. He went to the University of Miami to study at the School of Communications but left after a year because of his terrible academics and disobedience at school.

Steve-O | Career

While participating in the flea market circus, Steve-O started sending footage of himself to Jeff Tremaine, the editor of Big Brother magazine and future director of Jackass. The first season of the three-season MTV program premiered in 2000.

Steve-O immediately won over the audience as a result of the show’s enormous success. In 2001, Steve-O began to think about pursuing a solo career. His first solo DVD, Don’t Try This at Home, was published this year.

He appeared alongside Chris Pontius in the Jackass spinoff’s Wildboyz episode. In this brand-new episode, Steve-O and Pontius explored the world, interacted with a variety of exotic animals, and discovered several civilizations.

In 2010, Steve-O eventually started performing stand-up comedy. He also scheduled a second tour for the following year after his American tour. He performed on stage in significant Australian cities after that tour. His debut comedy special was released in 2016.

Mental Health

He had depended extensively on drugs and booze throughout Steve-O’s rise to popularity. His drug use started to have a negative impact, especially on his mental state. Along with breaking the law frequently, Steve-O also did so.

Involved in a battery and obscenity investigation as early as 2002, Steve-O had been detained. Steve-O was imprisoned in Sweden for carrying drugs into the country when he toured Europe with Bam Margera. More arrests soon followed.

Steve-O stayed in a hospital for 14 days in 2008 as a result of his suicidal tendencies. He entered pleaded guilty to cocaine possession in the same year. He participated in a program for recovery, which allowed him to stay out of jail.

After more than three months of sobriety, he relapsed and checked himself into a mental health facility. Steve-O would later assert that using drugs had seriously harmed his mental state.

YouTube Career

The YouTube channel Steve-O features videos of his many stunts and pranks. Even though he joined in 2005, Steve-O didn’t begin consistently uploading content to his other channels and the same-named YouTube channel until 2013.

By December 2022, his primary channel, Steve-O, had more than 6.3 million subscribers. Steve-O launched Steve-O’s Wild Ride, his own podcast, on March 19, 2020. Along with Paul Brisske and Scott Randolph. By December 2022, Steve-O’s Wild Ride have about 1.53 subscribers.

Professional Idiot: A Memoir, Steve-autobiography O’s that he co-wrote with David Peisner, was published in June 2011. He claimed to be one of the many famous people who joined the NOH8 project and that he strictly adheres to a vegan diet.

He claimed to follow a vegan diet and avoid wearing leather or fur. Steve-O declared in December 2018 that he was no longer a vegan because he eats fish and is now a pescatarian.
