Steve Weatherford, also known as Steven Thomas is a former American football punter who played the position.

He attended Illinois during his collegiate football career before being signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2006.

As a member of the Giants, he defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. Weatherford has played for the Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Giants.

New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets

Weatherford was signed by New Orleans as an undrafted free agent on April 20, 2006, after graduating from college with a fantastic record. Likewise, Steve has played sixteen games for the Saints.

Weatherford had two solo tackles before the Saints released him on October 20, 2008, and within a year from 2008 to 2009, Weatherford joined the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Steve was finally hired by the New York Jets as their squad punter on September 7, 2009. But Steve was unable to participate in the Jets’ opening playoff game because of an abnormal heartbeat.
