T. J. Watt

T.J Watt is an American football outside linebacker of the National Football League (NFL) for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, he had two sacks against the New York Giants, resulting in a victory.

Rookie

On September 10, Watt made his first-team debut against the Cleveland Browns. He had even combined tackles, two sacks, and one interception for the game as they won the game.

Likewise, A.J was also the first rookie after Aaron Jones to play linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

By the end of the season, he had played in 15 games totaling 54 combined tackles, seven pass deflections, seven sacks, and an interception.

Sadly, A.J had a groin injury earlier in the season that kept him out of a few games.

Meanwhile, Watt’s first playoff game was against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Divisional Round, which ended in a loss.

In 2018, Watt had a season-high ten combined tackles and was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week due to his remarkable improvement in his games.

Nonetheless, he had appeared in 16 games by the end of the season, totaling 68 combined tackles, 13 sacks, six forced fumbles, and three pass deflections.

Similarly, Watt was also ranked #93 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2019. Likewise, he was having the 24th highest grade among all qualifying edge defenders.

After recording two sacks on Ryan Fitzpatrick, Watt was named AFC Defensive Player of the Month in his second season.

Therefore, he was also named an All-Pro edge rusher and linebacker for his performance that season.

By the end of his third season, Watt had already established himself as one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL.
