Taylor Swift finally broke her silence regarding her “Eras Tour” ticket problems and the struggles her fans have to bear while buying tickets. Ticketmaster also apologizes to Taylor and her fans known as Swifties on Friday.
Taylor Swift got an apology from Ticketmaster about the crash that happened in the ticket sale. Ticketmaster also apologized to Swift’s fans for this. Similarly, many people couldn’t get the tickets even though they were staying in a queue for them.
The frustration of Taylor’s fans’ was real and she believes that there is negligence. On Friday, the company tweeted from its main Twitter account by giving people the reason for stopping ticket sales. According to the company,
“We strive to make ticket buying as easy as possible for fans, but that hasn’t been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour”
Also, it stated,
“First, we want to apologize to Taylor and all of her fans — especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets. Next, we feel we owe it to everyone to share some information to help explain what happened.”
Furthermore, they also announced that about 3.5 million people pre-registered for the Eras Tour tickets. It is claimed that about 2 million tickets are sold by Eras Tour in one day which is the highest among all.
Likewise, everyone didn’t get a pre-sale code so 40% of them got the tickets and some didn’t get the chance. Though the whole thing happened after the tweet posted by Ticketmaster regarding canceling the tickets pre-sale. According to Ticketmaster,
“Due to extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems and insufficient remaining ticket inventory to meet that demand, tomorrow’s public on-sale for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour has been canceled.”

And, the chairman of Live Nation Entertainment, Greg Maffei claims that the whole thing is happening because of Taylor’s impact. He further added,
“It’s a function of Taylor Swift. The site was supposed to open up for 1.5 million verified Taylor Swift fans. We had 14 million people hit the site, including bots, which are not supposed to be there.”
More Details
Taylor Swift also expressed how she felt after knowing that her fans couldn’t get a chance for attending the Eras Tour.
Taking more about the ticket sale, fans should sign up for the Verified Fan system which provides them presale code. However, everyone who signed up didn’t get a code during the sale.
For getting tickets, fans stand in a queue for many hours and face various problems as some presale codes didn’t function. Seeing the situation, Taylor Swift couldn’t stop expressing her feelings via Instagram story.

Swift wrote on November 18,
“It goes without saying that I’m extremely protective of my fans. We’ve been doing this for decades together and over the years, I’ve brought so many elements of my career in-house.”
Moreover, she also continued by saying,
“I’ve done this SPECIFICALLY to improve the quality of my fans’ experience by doing it myself with my team who care as much about my fans as I do. It’s really difficult for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and excruciating for me to just watch mistakes happen with no recourse.”
In addition to this, the “Midnights” singer also claimed that she has mentioned this issue before and they gave them assurance that they will handle the situation. Therefore, seeing no one doing anything about the issue she broke her silence. Though, Swift said,
“It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.”
