Terrence made his pledge to the University of Kentucky on September 14, 2019, despite offers from Boston College, Duke, Memphis, Texas Tech, & UCLA. He also stated that he would be reclassifying to the 2020 category.

Clarke had 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, plus three steals in his collegiate debut against Morehead State on November 25, 2020.

He attended Brewster Academy & averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in the Nike Elite Youth league in 2019. By 2020, he began his collegiate basketball career with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Moreover, he debuted at the collegiate level on November 25, 2020. He scored 12 points, had four assists, with three steals in the game against Morehead State. He is dressed in the number 5 jersey.

Following the season, he announced for the 2021 NBA Draft and can forego his remaining collegiate eligibility. During his freshman season, he had a right leg injury that held him out of the entire Southeastern Conference schedule.

Later he returns to the SEC Tournament to make an appearance. Prior to his injuries, was one of the most dynamic players & leading scorers in the UK.

He appeared in eight games with six starts, scoring 77 points, grabbing 21 rebounds, dishing out 16 assists, and recording five steals.

Terrence Clarke died unexpectedly in Los Angeles

On April 21, 2021, Terrence Clarke joined Klutch Sports Group, a sports agency that handles prominent NBA players, while awaiting the 2021 NBA draft. The next day, he worked out with teammate Brandon Boston Jr. before departing the court in his Genesis GV80.

Clarke was subsequently believed to have been involved in a car accident in the Los Angeles region. According to John Matassa, a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) sergeant, Clarke was driving at a fast pace while not wearing his seat belt correctly.

His car struck a truck, then a light post, before colliding with a brick wall. A surveillance camera filmed the entire episode.

Terrence Clarke was brought to Northridge Hospital after the collision and pronounced deceased.

His mother, Osmine Clarke, with whom he had a friendly connection, was by his side at the time of his demise. His unexpected death shocked and disappointed his teammates and admirers.
