Thomas Pestock is a former professional football player and professional wrestler from the United States.  He is now signed to WWE and competes on SmackDown under the ring name Baron Corbin.

Childhood, Parents, Siblings

Thomas Pestock was born to Steven Pestock, his father, and Mona Pestock, his mother on September 13, 1984. Baron will be 37 years old in 2022.

Corbin, unfortunately, lost his father in 2008. Steven Pestock died as a result of Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease complications. Baron honors his father by wearing the ring on his necklace.

In addition, he had picture tattoos of his grandfather and father placed on his leg. These two guys were instrumental in shaping Baron and instilling in him the importance of hard labor.

His father was an ironworker who built buildings and bridges. Similarly, he grew up in Lenexa, Kansas, with his brother Danny Restock.

Education

Baron received his studies at Northwest Missouri State University. During his undergraduate years, though, he was more concerned with football than with his schoolwork. In college football, Baron was an offensive guard.

During his time at Northwest Missouri State University, Baron was a rising star on the NCAA Division II level.

He is also a retired football player. Baron formerly played offensive guard for the “Indianapolis Colts” and the “Arizona Cardinals.”

Professional Life| Career

Football Career

Corbin began his college career as an offensive lineman at Northwest Missouri State University. In 2007, he was selected honorable mention in the MIAA, and in 2008, he was chosen first-team all-MIAA.

After graduating from college, Baron joined the Indianapolis Colts on April 27, 2009. He also inked a deal with the Arizona Cardinals on January 18, 2010.

On January 4, 2011, he signed a second deal with the Cardinals. Eventually, he was released on September 2, 2011, of the same year.

Boxing

Baron Corbin has won the Amateur boxing title twice by the age of 21. Similarly, he won three times the Kansas-Missouri Golden Gloves regional title.

His boxing career, like his football one, did not last long. He retired after losing to Andrae Cathron in the 2008 Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions.

 WWE Career

Baron’s wrestling career began with his debut on NXT in 2012 and continued until 2016. By the finale, Baron had been promoted to SmackDown.

He also made his debut on November 1, 2016. Shane McMahon punished him for a week a year later, on April 26, 2017.

He took part in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2017. On April 16, 2018, he was drafted to RAW as part of the WWE Superstar Shake-up event.

Baron also got into a violent argument with Seth Rollins after challenging him to the WWE Universal championship.

Lacy Evans was chosen as a special guest referee for the contest. Seth Rollins won the WWE Universal championship at the end of the match.

Furthermore, at Extreme Rules, Evans and Corbin challenged Lynch and Rollins. Against the duo, Rollins and Lynch were able to successfully defend their respective championships.

Furthermore, in 2019, Baron competed in the King of the Ring Tournament. In the final match, he beat Chad Gable. He defeated MIZ in the first round and Cedric Alexander in the quarterfinals.

Then he beat Samoa Joe and Ricochet in the semifinals. During the King of the Ring contest, he was one of sixteen competitors.
