Despite the “spitgate” drama, there is evidence that Chris Pine and Harry Styles are still close friends. It was one of the weirdest entertainment tales of 2022.
Three months after a video went viral that led some fans to believe that singer Harry Styles spit on his “Don’t Worry Darling” co-lap, stars Chris Pine and Harry Styles were seen cuddling on Tuesday in Brazil.
The 42-year-old “Jack Ryan” actor was all smiling in a white tee as they enjoyed drinks with friends. The former member of One Direction, 28, was dressed in a black shirt and had his hair pulled up in a top knot.
The Venice Film Festival accusations were a “complete fabrication,” Pine’s rep informed Page Six in September, even though neither actor has specifically refuted the purported saliva incident.
In addition, the representative for the Emmy nominee continued by labeling the report as “crazy” at the time, saying,
“There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
The same month, Styles made light of the situation by telling concertgoers he planned to “pop over to Venice to spit on Chris Pine.”

Olivia Wilde, who was then dating the Grammy winner, made it clear to Stephen Colbert that her boyfriend “did not” spit.
The director said, “I think it’s a perfect example of people who look for drama anywhere they can.”

After two years of dating, Wilde and Styles have already called it quits, with word of their breakup surfacing last month.
Moreover, the “O.C.” star made news on Tuesday for wearing a nipple-baring Dior dress to the People’s Choice Awards red carpet. She and her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis share two children, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 6.
Social media users frequently refer to Wilde’s audacious outfit as her “revenge dress.”
According to a source in November that she and the songwriter have “no bad blood,” the split was the “right thing” for the couple.
The insider said, “Harry didn’t dump Olivia or vice versa. They’re on a break. It’s impossible to have a relationship when he’s in every continent next year and Olivia has her job and her kids.”
