Tim advanced to the post of Vice President of Sports at ABC-7 in 2004 in addition to his role as a commentator, where his work received multiple Emmy nominations.

He remained a member of the ABC television broadcast team till 2007. He was among the first sideline sports journalists to appear on broadcast television.
