For his first and second years of school, Trevon attended St. Benedict’s Preparatory School.

The basketball player, a senior in 2014–15, scored 25 points and dished out eight assists to help the Gray Bees win the NCSAA state championship and have a 31-6 record.

Duval and Isaiah Briscoe participated for the AAU team New Jersey Playaz, which won the 2014 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) Peach Jam Championship. This was before Duval started his second year.

Trevon transferred schools and started his junior year at Advanced Preparatory International in Dallas, Texas, in September 2015.

Duval defeated Iona 89-67 on March 15 thanks to 19 points and 8 rebounds. In the Elite 8 match against Kansas on March 25, Trevon finished with 20 points and six assists but fell short 85-81 in overtime.
