Professional Career
Jarry played in 14 games during the 2011–12 6WHL season, averaging a save percentage of 0.894. At the start of this season, he signed with the Edmonton Oil Kings.
The next year, while playing once more with the Edmonton Oil Kings, Jarry finished first among all goalies in the league with an aggregate save % of 0.936 as well as a goals-against-average of 1.6.

After that, he put on an outstanding display in the 2013 CHL Top Prospects Game by turning aside all 16 shots that were aimed at him. He was then honored as Player of the Match for Team Cherry as a result of his accomplishment.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Jarry made his NHL debut on April 10 as he started for the Penguins team that lost to the New York Rangers, 3-2. Later, during the 11 games that Matt Murray missed due to injury, Jarry played in a postseason uniform.
Contract Extension with the Penguins
On November 25, 2017, Jarry assisted and won his first NHL game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Jarry was re-signed by the Penguins on July 26, 2018, to a 2-year, $1.35 million contract, bringing his yearly salary to $650,000.
In 2018–19 and 2019–20, this renewal was a two-way agreement; in 2020–21, it was a one-way arrangement. Sadly, Tristan suffered an injury on September 28 when the Penguins played the Columbus Blue Jackets in the last preseason game.
2018-11-14 Wilkes-Barre won 5-1 over the opposition. Jarry will start a 3-year, $10.5 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 3, 2020.
A few days later, the Penguins secured Tristan’s position as their starting goaltender by trading Matt Murray to the Ottawa Senators.
