On January 24, 2015, Tucker made his pro wrestling debut at NXT. He competed live against Tye Dillinger, and the outcome was a draw.

The same year, Tucker made a television cameo as an enhancement talent whose job will be eliminated on the July 1 NXT broadcast.

Knight continued to hone his skills as an enhancement talent throughout 2015 and 2016.

His wrestling skills grew finally when Knight and Otis Dozovic established the tag team Heavy Machinery in 2016.

The two participated as the Heavy Machinery in the yearly Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, a tag team competition for professional wrestling.

They lost their first television match against Austin Aries and Roderick Strong in October 2016.

The dynamic combo of Tucker and Otis won their first televised match against Jonathan Ortagun and Mike Marshall’s team in March 2017 at the NXT.

On October 25, Tucker finally betrayed Otis by assaulting him. After the divide and treachery in the November 9 episode, Tucker won the 24/7 Championship, his first solo championship.
