American professional basketball player Tyler Ryan Johnson plays for the Brisbane Bullets in the Australian National Basketball League. He participated in college basketball for Fresno State.

Tyler Ryan Johnson, who goes by the full name Johnson, was born a Taurus on May 7, 1992. In Grand Forks, North Dakota, he was born to Jennifer Johnson and Milton Johnson.

Tyler Johnson was adamant about his NBA aspirations from an early age and started his career in high school. He served as a coach for the Lancers, who won the Northern California Division II Championship under his direction in 2010.

He later participated in four collegiate seasons for the Fresno State Bulldogs. The shooting guard earned second-team All-Mountain West recognition in 2013–14 in less than four years.

Tyler’s scoring average increased during his college career from 4.4 PPG as a freshman to 9.3 PPG as a sophomore to 12.1 PPG as a junior to 15.9 PPG (senior).

Tyler Johnson was not selected in the 2014 NBA Draft after playing four seasons of college football. He decided to play professional basketball abroad after being passed over for the league’s draft.

For the 2014 NBA Summer League, the basketball player later signed with the Miami Heat. When the Heat released him, he signed on as an associate player with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League.

Tyler re-joined the Miami Heat in 2015 after agreeing to a 10-day deal.

He re-joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce and the Heats in the same year, 2015, and both teams had success. He began with the same ten-day contract he had before receiving a two-year contract.

Tyler re-signed with the Heat before becoming into an unrestricted free agency for the 2015–16 season.

Tyler Johnson joined the Phoenix Suns in 2019, staying with them until they chose to release him on February 9, 2020.

Similar to this, he played for the Brooklyn Nets for just a single season before agreeing to a short-term deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
