Miller was conceived in Dallas, Texas, on March 26, 1989. Von Miller and Gloria Miller are his proud parents.

Professional Life and Career

Von was interested in athletics from a young age due to coming from an athletic household. He began playing for the school football team at DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, after enrolling there.

He was also voted the District 8-5A Defensive MVP throughout his high school career.

After completing his education, he enrolled at Texas A&M University and participated in football for the Aggies from 2007 to 2010.

Furthermore, He played defensive end/linebacker as a junior, which allowed him to make use of his pass-rushing skills. He was also named to the first team of All-Americans.

He began participating in Tim DeRuyter’s defense as a 3-4 outside linebacker during his senior year at the University. Von sadly missed six games as a result of a severe ankle injury.

He was able to earn the Butkus Award as the best linebacker in the country after recovering from the injury. He earned his degree in poultry science and received his university diploma.

A career in the Profession

In the 2010 NFL Draft, Miller began his football professional career. He managed to get third in the 20-yard shuttle, third in the broad jump, third in the vertical jump, and second in the 40-yard dash.

Von was then selected by the Denver Broncos, a professional football team. In 2011, he joined the group.

He was chosen for the 2012 Super Bowl and awarded the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year during the final game of the 2011 campaign.

He had 10 sacks in 9 games at the start of the 2012 season. Sadly, on November 16, 2012, he was fined $21,000 for striking quarterback Cam Newton.

Miller was given a four-game suspension in the 2013 season after breaking the rules of the game.

On March 1, 2016, he passed Ray Lewis to become the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history after the Broncos extended his deal.

For the 2017 campaign with the Broncos, he registered his fourth straight season with at least ten sacks. In a similar vein, he played with the Denver Broncos through the 2021 season.

On November 1, 2021, he was traded from the Broncos to the Los Angeles Rams. On Monday Night Football, his first game with the Los Angeles team ended in a defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.

He participated in 15 games and finished the season with 50 tackles, 9.5 sacks, one pass break-up, and one forced fumble.
