On December 3, the 29-year-old actress made the joyous announcement that she is expecting her first child with Darius Jackson while hosting Saturday Night Live.
Palmer yelled as she unbuttoned her long jacket and displayed her expanding baby belly on the Studio 8H stage. “There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight — I am!”
Later, Jackson posted a romantic Instagram Story photo of the Nope star during a dinner outing with the caption “2023 ❤️” to celebrate the good news.
Since they were originally linked in 2021, the couple has kept their relationship relatively discreet, only attending a small number of events together. However, Palmer assured Bustle that she wasn’t trying to hide anything:
“This is the happiest I’ve ever felt with someone. So why would I go out of my way to hide this person? That’s a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life.”

Like Palmer, Darius Jackson brother Sarunas J. Jackson works as an actor. He is well recognized for his roles as Alejandro “Dro” Pea on Insecure and Isaac Hall on Good Trouble, both of which the actress previously appeared in as a guest star.
Since 2021, he has been dating Keke Palmer.
According to reports, Issa Rae and Diddy’s Memorial Day celebration is where the two first got together in May 2021. When Palmer celebrated her birthday in August of that year, Jackson and Palmer became “Instagram official.”

Palmer told Harper’s Bazaar in March 2020, before she started dating Jackson, why she prefers to keep her love life a secret.
“I don’t really do relationship stuff online, mainly because I don’t know how I would do it without looking, like, cheesy or something, you know?”
She admitted to the site “Yes, I’m a hundred percent authentic. But there is stuff that I do save for family and friends.”
Palmer discussed her choice to make her relationship with Jackson public on The Tamron Hall Show in November 2021. She explained her decision to upload pictures of herself with Jackson at the time by stating that it become harder to hide.
“We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I’m not gonna hide something that makes me happy. It’s not gonna be everything you see, my job is my job, but at the end of the day this is somebody that is important to me so why not,” Palmer added.

Jackson works at the Inspire Fitness Studio as a fitness instructor. His desire to work as an instructor according to the fitness center’s website, is to “his motivation to be an instructor is to help others. And himself to stay in shape as he enjoys being in a team-oriented environment. It is also where he feels comfortable to be himself.”

Jackson participated in numerous sports as a child, according to his Inspire Fitness Studio bio. And he received a football scholarship to Fresno State University.
