The singer Taylor Swift is accused of copyright by Teresa La Dart for her book “Lover”! She was sued for $1M for plagiarizing a book from 2010.
Was it copied? An author named Teresa La Dart sued Taylor Swift for copying her poetry from the year 2010. She claimed that Taylor imitate her book blatantly.
Teresa hit the “Bad blood” singer with more than a million dollars of copyright allegations for copying her book of poetry which is also named “Lover”.
Taylor copied her songs from the poetry for her 2019 album “Lover”. Seriously copied songs! Fans must be disappointed with this news.
But also a doubt appears like after almost 4 years, the writer suddenly listened to her songs and thought of filing a complaint. Why didn’t she raise the concern right after the release of the songs?

However, now on August 23, 2022, Teresa filed a complaint to Tennessee federal court accusing the singer that she copied her poems, photos, and anecdotes.
The lawsuit also claims that this was planned. There was mentioned that someone from the team of Swift saw the poetic book of Teresa. And they decided to duplicate all the vibe and design of the book.
The complaint also claimed that the name of the book and the album are the same “Lover”. Both are sort of collective memories from the past.
“recollection of past years memorialized in a combination of written and pictorial components.”
But the fact is nothing can prove that this is just a coincidence and not done knowingly as everything is pretty similar to the book. All the pictures, the ideas, the themes, and using of images are quite the same. This is not the first case that Taylor is engaged in, she is also spiraled into another lawsuit for her famous song “Shake it off”!!

Now, these cannot be false rumors again!! From the industry itself, the lyrics writers Sean Hall and Nathan Butler alleged Taylor of copying the lines from one of their songs. The song was released in 2001, “Playas Gon’ Play” and they accused her of copying the lines from this song. The lawsuit was filed in 20017 but then with the case of her album “Lover”, this case reopened.
However, Taylor denied that she copied anyone else’s lyrics. She added that she had never heard the songs before of 3LW, so she denies that she copied the songs.
“Until learning about Plaintiffs’ claim in 2017, I had never heard the song ‘Playas Gon’ Play’ and had never heard of that song or the group 3LW,” Taylor said. “None of the CDs I listened to as a child, or after that, were by 3LW.”

Taylor is a phenomenal singer and songwriter. Her songs depict some meaning always which is inspired by her personal life.
The genre of the songs and the strong creativity is her hit points. She has given a lot of hit songs to the music industry. With the mix of urban sounds, she always portrays her private life with relevant lyrics and videos.
