Will Smith posted a video on YouTube as well as Instagram on Friday, July 29 apologizing to Chris Rock for the slap. As we all know that Smith slapped comedian, Chris Rock on national television for making a joke about his wife’s hair.
Will Smith is regretting the thing he did with Chris Rock. The reason for slapping Chris Rock is he made fun of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair. Jada was suffering from alopecia and Rock during the Oscars made little fun about her bald hair. Though this made Will angry and he went on the stage and slapped Rock in front of the audience and cameras.
Later on the same day, Smith won the award for the best actor but the next day he got expelled from the industry for 10 years. However, on Friday he posted an emotional video of him apologizing to Chris Rock and his well-wishers and family. In the video, he answered the questions asked by people frequently. The first question that Will Smith said is,
“Why didn’t you apologize to Chris in your acceptance speech?”
In this, he replied, he was confused and angry and out of his mind. Likewise, he also stated,
“I was fogged out by that point. It’s all fuzzy. I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk. And when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable, and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.”

By seeing his post we can know that Will Smith is regretting his deed and wanna fix all the things with Rock. Not only this but he also got questions that he slapped Chris because his wife gave him the signal to do so.
“After Jada rolled her eyes, did she tell you to do something?”
In this question, Will explained that the whole thing wasn’t planned and he said,
“I made a choice on my own, from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry, babe.”

Wim Smith also apologized to Chris’s mother and her brother
Will Smith also is sorry to Chris Rock’s mother as well as brother Tony Rock. In the video, he said that he didn’t think this will also happen before slapping Rock on national television. He told people that when he watched an interview with Rock’s mother, he couldn’t stop his tears and he was regretting a lot. Moreover, according to Will,
“That was one of the things about that moment. I just didn’t realize. I wasn’t thinking about how many people got hurt at that moment. So I want to apologize to Chris’ mother. I want to apologize to Chris’ family.”
In addition to that, Smith also explained that Tony was his good friend. And, he also stated,
“Tony and I had a great relationship. You know, Tony Rock was my man, and this is probably irreparable.”

Similarly, The Fresh Prince also said sorry to his children for this incident and also to his fans and followers. After the slap, the American actor won Best Documentary for his project Summer Of Soul. He said, “I’m sorry isn’t really sufficient.”

On the other hand, Chris Rock was quiet after this incident and was not responding to anything regarding this. However, he opened his mouth during performing alongside Kevin Hart and Dave Chappelle at Madison Square Garden. He further explained,
“Yeah, that s–t hurt, motherf–ker, but I shook that s–t off and went to work the next day. Anyone who says ‘words hurt’ has never been punched in the face.”
