Will Smith has his family’s support as they all attended the premiere of his upcoming movie, “Emancipation”. They were present after eight months after the slapping incident. As we already know Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock on the stage at the 2022 Oscars.
This happened when Chris made fun of Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith‘s hair which is bald due to alopecia. Jada, Smith, and their three kids, Trey, Jaden, and Willow showed their appearances on the red carpet.
Furthermore, Trey is now 30 years old, Jaden is 24 and Willow is the youngest who is 22 years old. Talking about the family’s outfit for the movie premiere, Will Smith wore a three-piece maroon suit along with a pink shirt inside. He then wore brown shoes with them. And, Willow also chose a black dress for the show as she wore a black Stella McCartney vest and matching pants. Also, the crystal-embellished cutouts were there on her side as well.

Will Smith got banned for 10 years after he slapped Chris Rock in front of the audiences and media. The whole incident happened after the comedian joked about Smith’s hair. She has been open about her alopecia journey so everybody is known about her condition.
However, Rock joked about this sensitive topic that Will couldn’t handle himself. As Chris said, “Can’t wait for ‘G.I. Jane 2” where G.I. Jane is the movie where the actress was bald.
So, this was the trigger point for Will and he went to the stage and slapped Chris Rock. Although, his action wasn’t acceptable so he was banned from the Academy Awards for 10 years. Even though, the actor has publicly apologized twice to Chris Rock and all his followers for the mistake he did. He posted a video on his Instagram account saying,
“I was fogged out by that point. Itâs all fuzzy. I have reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he is not ready to talk and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I am here whenever you are ready to talk.”

Moreover, Smith also said sorry to Chris’s family and his family as well. According to him,
“I spent the last three months replaying and understanding the nuances and complexities of what happened at that moment. And Iâm not going to try and unpack all of that right now, but I can say to all of you that there is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave at that moment. There is no part of me that thinks thatâs the optimal way to handle feelings of disrespect or insults.”
