Zion Williamson is an American collegiate basketball player for the Duke Blue Devils. He is a small forward/power forward for the Duke Blue Devils. He has also played for other teams in high school, including the Spartanburg Day Griffins.

On July 6, 2000, Zion Williamson was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, to his father Lateef Williamson, and his mother Sharonda Sampson.

Sampson was a sprinter at ‘Livingstone’ before going on to teach middle school health and physical education.

In a single game, Zion turned into the only second player in school history to gain at least twenty-five points, fifteen rebounds, and five blocks. In the ‘Atlantic Coast Conference,’ he was named both player and freshman of the week.

In the same season, he joined Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis as one of only two freshmen in NBA history to record 500 points, 50 steals, and 50 blocks in a single season.
NBA Career
Anderson, Zion’s stepfather, wanted him to join the New Orleans Pelicans in the NBA draft in 2019. As a result, the Pelicans selected him first overall.
In January 2022, he made his NBA debut. It was a game against the Spurs of San Antonio.
In an 18-minute appearance, he had 22 points and seven rebounds. In a similar vein, Zion has scored at least 20 points in ten consecutive games.
